What To Expect at your Newborn Session
Congratulations on the arrival of your precious little bundle of joy and thank you for choosing Andrea Joy Photography to capture this incredibly special time in your lives!
It is ideal to photograph newborns between 5-10 days old. If you are expecting, I suggest booking in a session now based on your due date. Just keep me updated on when your baby is born and we can finalise a date then. Alternatively, if you have already had your baby, contact me ASAP to arrange a session.
Your newborn session will take place in the comfort of your own home within 20km of Mandurah. If you are outside of this range, there will be an extra travel fee. Or if you'd prefer, we can choose an outdoor location within 20km of Mandurah - parks or bushland would make gorgeous natural backdrops.
The goal of the session is to keep baby as content and comfortable as possible. I am extremely patient and gentle with your little one, and will always ensure their safety and comfort is the highest priority.
I recommend wearing solid colours and neutral tones - please avoid distracting logos and patterns. Also, bringing an extra set of clothes is always a good idea, for those inevitable little accidents :)
I have lots of props, wraps and layers so you can have a say in the styling of your baby's session. If you have a special item you would like to incorporate, I would love for you to bring it along.
Please allow 60-90 minutes for these sessions to allow time for feeding and settling.
The focus will be primarily on baby, however I feel that it's so important to capture the baby's bond with mum, dad, and siblings as well, so these photos will be included with your session at no additional cost.
It will take me around 2-3 weeks to edit your session photos. You will receive 20 digital images (plus copies in black and white), edited and in high resolution with print release, delivered as a digital download.
