At 8.5 weeks new, Jax reminded me SO much of my son at that age, it was like I had been transported back in time to the newborn phase. Poor little love has colic and reflux (tick and tick), and kept waking if he wasn't being rocked (massive tick!). You want nothing more than for baby to be comfortable and you try your best to help settle them but nothing seems to work. You feel terrible.

Then his eyes lock into yours, he flashes you a smile, and you literally melt away. It's as if the world stops for a second. These are the moments that life is all about. It wasn't about getting "the shot", it was about trying to keep baby as comfortable and content as possible for the session whilst still capturing more lifestyle-type photos for his family to cherish forever.

I was so lucky to meet Jax and his gorgeous family. There was so much love in my little Caversham studio that I'm pretty sure the walls were about to burst. <3
