8 day old Valeria came into my Caversham home studio today along with her parents and big brother, Mateo. I was excited to meet this beautiful baby girl since taking maternity photos of Mum in November. We began the session with family and sibling photos. Boy oh boy, Mateo made me work to get any smiles out of him today! Persistence is the key with toddlers - I kept trying and eventually he'd accidentally let out a smirk ;)
Fortunately, Valeria drifted off fairly quickly so we could use the bed prop for a sibling shot as requested by Mum. Then we moved onto solo shots of Valeria. Mum had asked for purples and whites, so I had three different setups using those colours. Valeria needed a few top-ups during the session which is common, and which is why I allow 2-3 hours for a newborn session - we are always working around baby! <3
